The Minister's Pine
The Minister's Pine on Doon Hill, (Aberfoyle, Stirling) is said to hold the spirit of local minister Robert Kirk (born around 1641, died 1692). Reverend Kirk was a Gaelic scholar, and author of The Secret Commonwealth (1691) about the existence of supernatural beings. The Reverend collapsed and died while walking on Doon Hill. The trees surrounding the Fairy Tree are decorated with prayer ribbons.
