Printing and production

DCA/28 relates to the production of printed and published material by the Council. The extant files provide somewhat limited information about the scale and scope of a core Council activity. They cover production of the more ephemeral of the Council"s print products, such as: Design Calendar, posters, awards literature, catalogues, and annual reports.

The Council"s broadly educational remit necessitated the generation of large volumes of print, and it was regarded as important that each item produced by the body reflected the high design values for which it stood.

The surviving files have been retained in their original numeric order as allocated by the Council"s Registry. This means that records in a series do not necessarily have consecutive file numbers, and may not be located together.
