Every historical research project is enriched and improved by time spent utilising the Archives Hub…
Every archival organisation or archival career is enriched by exposure to and engagement with the Archives Hub…
We will actively work to stay in tune with the research needs of our users, engaging them in dialogue about their needs wherever possible. We’ll also remain actively involved in the broader debates regarding the future of online resource discovery for research, both within the archival sector and beyond.
This means actively identifying and representing archives of interest to UK researchers, finding sustainable and effective means to expand content, and also developing new tools to help users make the most of the content available to them.
The Archives Hub is a collective, only as strong as its contributing members. We will strive to deliver free training, support and networking opportunities for archival professionals interested in making their collections visible online. We will strive to maintain and earn our reputation as a centre of expertise.
Data in the Archives Hub data must be interoperable and open for re-use by the community. This means maintaining up-to-date technical and content standards, and working with partners within the archival sector and beyond to share and exchange data and expertise.
