The Glasgow Railway Engineering Co Ltd was incorporated as a limited liability company in 1901 to acquire the business of the Glasgow Railway Co, Helen Street, Govan, Glasgow, Scotland, and the also the firm of D Drummond & Son, manufacturers, at the same address. The company produced component parts for railway locomotives including wheels, axles and springs and appears to have had connections with the locomotive department of William Beardmore & Co Ltd, steel manufacturers and engineers, Glasgow, Scotland. The company ceased trading in 1959 and appears to have been liquidated in 1965.
