Hand-woven jacket, thick hand-spun, white wool, and fine white cotton weft, black and white machine-spun cotton warp, plain weave, spaced reeding, 1930s, by the Ditchling workshop of Ethel Mairet,

The material for the jacket was bought in 1939. The lining was supplied by Edith Soloman. Ethel Mairet's dressmaker made-up the jacket.
