The Royal Arsenal Co-operative Society (RACS) was founded in 1868 in Woolwich and grew to have many branches in and around London. They carried out a range of business from food retail to hairdressing to funerals.
The National Co-operative Archive holds the minute books, financial material, photographs and other items relating the RACS, as part of the South East Retail Group collection.
