Administrative / Biographical History

Cliff Richard, given name Harry Webb, is a popular singer and performer. Born in Lucknow in India in 1940, he began recording and releasing records in 1958. His singles have gained chart positions in each of the first six decades of the UK singles chart, and he has sold more singles in the UK than any other act. In 1968, Cliff represented the UK in the Eurovision song contest. He was knighted on 25th October 1995.
