This collection consists of press cuttings, articles and programmes relating to the life and work of Cliff Richard.
Administrative / Biographical History
Cliff Richard, given name Harry Webb, is a popular singer and performer. Born in Lucknow in India in 1940, he began recording and releasing records in 1958. His singles have gained chart positions in each of the first six decades of the UK singles chart, and he has sold more singles in the UK than any other act. In 1968, Cliff represented the UK in the Eurovision song contest. He was knighted on 25th October 1995.
Conditions Governing Access
This collection is available for consultation in the V&A Department of Theatre & Perfomance's reading room, which is located at Blythe House, 23 Blythe Rd, Olympia, London, W14 0QX. The reading room is open Tuesday to Friday's between 10.15 am and 4.30 pm, access to it is by appointment only.
