Correspondence and papers of Beryl Bainbridge (b.1934), DBE, author. Partly copies, drafts and autograph.

Includes drafts and research notes for both her published and unpublished works. Items throughout her papers have been annotated with notes connecting Bainbridge's acquaintances and the events in her life with the characters and scenes in her novels. The archive also contains a significant amount of material shedding light on Bainbridge's relationship with her publisher, Gerald Duckworth and Co.
