Administrative / Biographical History

The British Federation of University Women (now the British Federation of Women Graduates) was founded in 1907. It is an organisation of women with degrees or equivalent qualifications working to promote women’s opportunities in education and public life, foster local, national and international friendship, and improve the lives of women and girls worldwide. The Dundee Association of the British Federation of University Women was founded in 1945.

Acquisition Information

The volumes were discovered in the attic of a former secretary, and given to Frances Grieve, the then Secretary of the Dundee Association of University Women. They were deposited by Frances Grieve in November 2008.
