Scope and Content

This volume contains minutes of the Association, 17 Nov 1864 - 4 Mar 1868. It was re-used in the period 1873 - 1879 to record essay marks, though it is not clear by whom, or to which classes they refer (possibly relating to classes taught at the University of Aberdeen).

The Association was constituted on 17 Nov 1864. It aimed to foster a missionary spirit within Old Machar Parish and sought to increase the level of charitable contributions made by its members to various charitable schemes run by the Church.
