Administrative / Biographical History

Urien Wiliam was born in Swansea in 1929. He is well known as a playwright, novelist and writer of childrens books. He was also the winner of the Drama Medal in the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 1972 and 1973.

Eugene O'Neill, the American playwright born in 1888, was the first US dramatist to win the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1936. His play, Desire Under the Elms was written in 1924.
