Administrative / Biographical History
The prominent Quaker families of Ford and Pease were related by marriage and had connections with the Leeds area in the nineteenth century. John Rawlinson Ford, of Leeds and Yealand Conyers, was the son of Robert Lawson Ford of Adel Grange and Hannah Pease; Katherine Aldam Pease was the daughter of Hannah's brother Thomas Pease of Cote Bank, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, and Lucy Fryer of Rastrick, Huddersfield. She married Sir Thomas Hanbury in 1868
