Scope and Content

Comprises photocopies of A.A. Liven's recollections of several Russian historical figures, reproductions of engravings of other such figures, photographs of members of the Liven and many other Russian families, a photocopy of N.A. Teffi, P'esy, Paris, 1934, and photographs of a meeting in honour of a visit of Patriarch Aleksii Simanskii to Sofia in 1946, with a partial list of subjects

Administrative / Biographical History

Prince Andrei Aleksandrovich Liven (1884-1949) was a member of the Russified Baltic-German Liven family. He became a Russian Orthodox priest after fleeing Russia and settled with his family in Sofia, Bulgaria. Towards the end of his life Father Andrei resumed writing poetry
