Administrative / Biographical History
Joseph Edward Holley was born at Kennington, South London, in 1897. As a Private, 1st Battalion, Kent Cyclists, from November 1914, and a Sapper, 3rd Wireless Squadron, from 1917, he served at Bangalore and on the North-West Frontier of India from 1916 to 1919. Later he served as Corporal, RASC (Royal Army Service Corps), in the Second World War.
