Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
James Cecil Hubert Willett, Captain, 51st Bedfordshire Regiment, joined the 10th Battalion, Essex Regiment, in Sep. 1914 and served on the Western Front, reaching the rank of 2nd Lieutenant before transferring to the 51st Bedfordshire Regiment in 1919 and serving in occupied Germany until 1920. He was awarded the MC (Military Cross) and Bar and the Croix de Guerre.
