Administrative / Biographical History

William Thomas Davies, born in 1891, was a 2nd Lieutenant, later Lieutenant, in the Shropshire Yeomanry from February 1910 to March 1917, King's Shropshire Light Infantry, March-December 1917, and Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment, attached to the Imperial Camel Corps, No. 10 Company, from December 1917, and served in Egypt/Palestine. He was awarded the MC (Military Cross) on 10 September 1918 for the assault on Mudawara.
