Scope and Content

Correspondence: (1) 18 autograph letters from Leigh Hunt to George Bird, 24 June 1851-31 October 1852, concerning medical matters; (2) 1 typewritten letter from Dr Cedric Keith Simpson to Dr E. Clayton Jones, 4 November 1952, concerning the 2 enclosed locks of Leigh Hunt's hair. Leigh Hunt's "last notebook" (so described in Edmund Blunden's hand on the envelope), 80 x 50 mm., containing 5 pp. of accounts (cab fares and postage stamps), dated 1859 (the year of Hunt's death).
