Administrative / Biographical History
In December 1981, BBC Radio 4 broadcast a series of 13 controversial programmes by its Religious Affairs Correspondent, Gerald Priestland, under the title Priestland's Progress. They generated a large correspondent from listeners.
Access Information
The collection is open to all bona fide researchers, by appointment only, telephone or email a week in advance of your intended visit. Researchers must abide by the conditions protecting the collection.
Acquisition Information
Donated by the Head of Religious Programmes, British Broadcasting Corporation, in November 1982, to the Mass-Observation Archive Trust which has deposited the collection with the University of Sussex.
