Works of Paget Toynbee

Two works by Paget Toynbee, consisting of:  

• Printer's copy of 'Britain's tribute to Dante in literature and art', 1921
• Manuscript of essay 'Dante and England', 1920, with corrected proof of the Italian translation, printed in L'Illustrazione Italiana, 1921

Paget Jackson Toynbee (1855-1932) was a Dante scholar. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

The works were given to the Library by the author, through the Friends of the Bodleian, in 1931.
