The Sackler Library specialises in Archaeology, Art History, and Classics. The Library opened in 2001, and incorporates the collections of the former Ashmolean Library (including the Griffith Institute Library and the Western Art Library), the Classics Lending Library, the Eastern Art Library, and the History of Art Library.
The Library's archival collections are mainly the working papers of archaeologists, including archaeological notebooks. Descriptions for all accessible archives have been provided to the Archives Hub.
