Architectural Association Archives

A.A.

The Architectural Association (AA) Archives, London, was formally constituted in 2007. It documents the administrative, educational and cultural history of the AA, the oldest UK architectural school, and preserves examples of its material culture and intellectual output. Cataloguing of archival holdings has only just been initiated, with the result that only approximately 5% of records, are available via the Archives Hub. The AA’s collections are particularly strong in the field of architectural education and include an extensive collection of student portfolios and graphic work, dating from 1847 to contemporary times. As cataloguing progresses it is anticipated that the entire catalogue will be made available on the Hub.
