Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre, University of Manchester

The centre is an open access library and resource centre, established in 1999 by Professor Lou Kushnick and dedicated to improving race relations. It contains books, reports, journals, videos, newspaper cuttings and ephemera concerning race in the UK, the US and elsewhere with a remit to collect more Manchester specific material.

The majority of the collection is library resources, not archive due to a lack of archival facilities. we do, however, have one archive collection: the Steve Cohen collection, which is a collection of anti-deportation campaign memorabilia, including newsletters, photos, posters, letters, tshirts and banners from over 70 campaigns fought in Manchester in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's.

Special features: Manchester Histories Festival ; Steve Cohen.
